Whos "We"?

I would hazard a guess theres stuff that I don't agree with you on, and we would want certain laws written differently. Its important to remember that we all vote for what we think is right, based on a system evolved over thousands of years to cater for human fallibility. The modern rhetoric of "us against the billionaires" is simply not how the world works, despite how much people want it to.

The modern rhetoric is indeed reductive if you put words in the poster's mouth.

The comment was about 'us vs the ruling class', which is very much how the world works.

Your knowledge of history is equally flawed, if you believe modern democracy is some kind of evolutionary apex tenderly nurtured for the greater good for thousands of years.

Their argument is so generic they would probably say something equally as generic and useless like 'The billionaires"

"We" is a massive group of people who all have wildly different ideas. Saying "laws could be what we want them to be" is highly subjective depending on who the "we" is at that current time.

Yea, people use We as the royal we quite often. What "people" miss about the royal we is it works much better when you have lots and lots of money.

These days I feel like I get much better value paying for cable with hundreds of channels than I do any streaming service.

Say what you want about tupperware, but I just bought a set of ancient tupperware from a thrift store and even the second hand quality of it beats anything I have bought in the last 20 years hands down.

The challenge, though, is that you can't tell with the naked eye whether that vintage Tupperware happens to be some of the stuff that contains lead.

But now these are targeted ads based on browsing data for ad profiles linked to your IP and devices. IMO just a few of these are far worse than the general run of commercials we used to have on TV. Corporations obviously think so too otherwise we would still have that.

This is how Apple have forced Mac upgrades for the last 20 years, there is no way round it other than to comply and buy yourself a new Mac.

I still dont get your point, its designed for the security audience and it has a very good reputation there. Its not aimed at normal people, by your own admission they wont even understand what it does and why they would want it. So why are you talking it down for not reaching more normal people?
