AI and the Pitfalls of Innovation (paulkrugman.substack.com)

Krugman said Ai is "dishonest" on the Heather Cox Richardson podcast, which is wrong because Ai is indifferent to truth and accuracy, lacking any driving intent behind the token it outputs.

Neither of them sound like they have tried anything beyond the chat box experience, nor seem interested in understanding how things work and have evolved. Its not their area of expertise, but their fanbase needs feeding (core alignment problem with indep journalism). I've discounted all of his words on this subject going forward.

Are you sure you didn't leave out something crucial?

I found this tho:

>_the argument_ that AI justifies rate cuts is dishonest

yes, he has not referring to jobs, but to hallucinations, when he said "ai is dishonest" on the podcast

at the time, both were talking about how they tried ai and all the problems they found with it, neither has put effort into becoming good with ai, both used it just enough to sus out the "bad" parts the alt-left is complaining about. (superficially bad parts, there are actual bad things, but they did not discuss them)
